The Hoofdklasse is the Netherlands’ fifth-tier league. The competition is divided into two sections, Saturday and Sunday, with each division consisting of two sub-divisions for a total of four – Saturday A, Saturday B, Sunday A, and Sunday B. The champions of each sub-division earn automatic promotion to the Derde Divisie.
