The Professional Footballers' Association of the English Premier League have honored a host of football stars for their remarkable performances in the 2019/2020 league season. The player's union released the full list of awardees on Tuesday which starred the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Beth England, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Lauren Hemp as winners of the top awards.
De Bruyne, who registered 13 goals and a record-equalling 20 assists last season, became the first Manchester City man to be named the Professional Footballers' Association's Player of the Year. The Belgian playmaker beat Liverpool's Virgil Van Dijk and Jordan Henderson to clinch the award that has been won by the former and Mohamed Salah in the two previous seasons.
"It's a big honour, I think, to be voted by your colleagues, your competitors from other teams, who you always play against on the field and they vote for you for best player. It's amazing."@debruynekev on being voted the 2020 Male #POTY #PFAawards @mancity #mancity pic.twitter.com/H5zVHPZMJG
