The Reds are on the verge of completing another transfer after announcing the arrival of their newest acquisition from Bayern.

Liverpool are on the verge of completing a deal to sign Diego Jota from Wolves, a report from England has revealed. The Reds have apparently reached an agreement with the 23-year-old Portuguese forward on a five-year contract, hours after announcing the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.

Having been  relatively quiet in the transfer window this summer, Jurgen Klopp's side is finally putting in the work ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Chelsea. On Friday, the Merseysiders unveiled Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara after being linked with a move for the Spaniard all summer. The deal is reportedly worth 25 million pounds.

According to the trusted Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are not far from bringing another player in Diego Jota to Anfield over the weekend. After agreeing personal terms with the former Porto starlet, the Reds are now negotiating a fee with Wolves. The player is valued around 40 million pounds and, according to reports from England, the ongoing negotiations involve one that could see 18-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever departing from the Premier League champions in part-exchange. The young defender is expected to cost around 10 million pounds.

Diego Jota was omitted from the Wolves squad that were defeated in the Carabao Cup by Stoke on Thursday. The forward who scored 16 goals in 48 appearances for Nuno Espirito's side is expected to pen a five-year contract at Liverpool in the coming days.
