After a frustrating draw with minnows Hellas Verona, can league leaders Milan get back to winning ways as they take on Napoli? Live Soccer TV's match preview provides team news, key match stats, and global broadcast listings for Napoli vs. Milan

Preview: Napoli vs AC Milan

With three wins from their last five Serie A games, Napoli, who sit in fourth spot, will be hoping to become the first team to beat current league leaders Milan this season. As things stand, the hosting Partenopei sit three points behing the Diavolo, who have been having a very impressive start to the current 2020/2021 Serie A campaign, but former Rossoneri midfielder and ex coach Gennaro Gattuso will certainly be hoping to get one over on ex-teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic when the veteran Swede and his colleagues arrive at the Stadio San Paolo for what should be a very interesting showdown on Sunday evening.

Napoli have also done solidly so far in their Europa League campaign, with two wins from their last three matches helping them to sit on top of their quartet, ahead of Spanish outfit Real Sociedad and Dutch side AZ, who also tied in a three-way battle on six points.

As for Milan, the Rossoneri now come into this game having failed to win their last two matches across all comps. Their unbeaten streak, which had seen them go a very impressive 12 matches without defeat since the start of the season, came to an abrupt end just prior to the international break as they were beaten 3-0 by Lille on matchday three of the Europa League.

That leaves Stefano Pioli's side in second spot in their quartet. In addition, they were really frustrated to have to settle for a shock two-all draw with minnows Hellas Verona in their final Serie A game, thus capping off a very disappointing week for the Rossoneri, and that leaves them just one point ahead of Juventus heading into this game. To complicate matters, the Diavolo will likely see their comfortable lead cut down further as the Bianconeri are hosting Cagliari in an earlier match, and thus could be heading to the Stadio San Paolo with only a one point advantage over the reigning Scudetto champions.

Hellas Verona have proven to be a frustrating team for many of the bigger sides this season, and while they've won just one of their last five, they've managed to also nick points off Juventus during that run as well, so they will be very happy with their result against the current league leaders. However, they were really fortunate to manage to hang on for a point against Milan, who really barraged them with shots left and right, but the Diavolo were unable to make any of those efforts count. It will be very interesting to see who will come out on top in this upcoming contest as both teams are pretty evenly matched in terms of talent and tactical nous - Milan are unbeaten in their last 19 Serie A games, but Napoli have an excellent home record against the Rossoneri and haven't lost in their last nine at the Stadio San Paolo.
