Chelsea, Sevilla score late goals to qualify for UCL Last 16 Chelsea and Sevilla have successfully progressed out of Group H into the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League following respective wins on Matchday 4. The Blues secured a 2-1 away victory over Rennes while the La Liga outfit concurrently beat Krasnodar via the same scoreline in Russia.
Ahead of Tuesday's meetings, both Chelsea and Sevilla needed a point to consolidate their status as the two best sides in the group. In France, the former sealed the fate after substitute Olivier Giroud scored a 91st minute winner after Sehrou Guirassy's second half goal had canceled out Callum Hudson-Odoi opener. In essence, Chelsea took their point tally in four Champions League outings to 10 while extending their unbeaten run in all competitions to 10 games.

Relatively, Sevilla started their night on a high note, with Ivan Rakitic opening the scoring in as early as the fourth minute. Wanderson equalised for the hosts in the 56th minute before former Barcelona starlet Munir El-Hadadi stunned the Russian with a 95th minute winner.

As things stand, both Chelsea and Sevilla have progressed to the Round of 16 of this season's Champions League with 10 points to their names. With the Blues having a superior goal difference, the two teams will have all to play for in their remaining two games with the winner of the group yet to be determined.
