Liverpool will hope to bounce back from the midweek's Champions League defeat to Atalanta when they travel to Brighton on Saturday.

Against Liverpool, a win will ensure a first-ever back-to-back league win for Graham Potter's men in over a year. To achieve that, they will be required to end the Reds' flawless nine-game run against them - a feat which will also see them register their first-ever top-flight win over the Merseysiders.

History has particularly been kind to Liverpool, as they have only allowed Brighton to pick up just two points from a possible 42 in previous games. The Anfield outfit will approach the weekend's encounter ready and poised to make amends for collapsing to a 2-0 defeat when they hosted Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday. The defeat was the first-ever in which they had suffered with a two goal deficit at home under Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool, on the other hand, will be dealing with a headache of their own with Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Thiago Alcantara, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Xherdan Shaqiri all amiss as a result of injuries. Skipper Jordan Henderson is set for a return after featuring in the team's final training season.
