The first leg of this series saw Cruz Azul take an emphatic lead. Will Gignac and Co. be able to turn things around?

The last spot in the Guard1anes 2020 semi-finals will go to either Cruz Azul or Tigres on Sunday. The hosts get to their stadium with a 3-1 lead, and judging by what we saw on Thursday, the ticket is theirs to lose.

Cruz Azul must be cautious ahead of this game, as they did not end the regular season in fine form. In fact, Cruz Azul only won one of their last five, with their other four games ending in defeat. When it comes to home games, Siboldi's men have not been able to win any of their last three, with one draw against América and losses facing Pumas and Tigres.

As for Tigres, Ricardo Ferretti's team have gotten into a downward spiral, as they have only won one of their last five, with two of those ending in a loss. Last week's win against Toluca was the only good game Tigres had during that run. Speaking about away games, Tigres have not done as badly as expected, since they have won two of their last three. Nevertheless, neither of those wins saw the yellow and blue side claim a lead as the one they need to overcome the first leg's score.

Cruz Azul can afford to lose the game by a two-goal margin and still make it to the semis. All they need to do is score one goal and do whatever it takes not to allow three or more. Any draw and the win will also get them to the semi-finals. As for Tigres, Ferretti's men need to score three times to have a glimmer of hope. If they allow one goal, then they will need to score four to have a chance.
