Here is everything you need to know about Sunday’s Emirates Stadium clash, including a preview of the key match facts, team news, as well as global broadcast listings.

Preview – Arsenal vs Wolves

Arsenal are preparing to resume their Premier League campaign, having shifted focus to the UEFA Europa League over the midweek. The Gunners will be hosting Wolves in one of two interesting Sunday English top-flight showdowns – the other is Chelsea vs Tottenham. All eyes will be on the north London giants and whether they will slip up in the face of yet another tricky opponent.

Arteta has found himself under tremendous pressure as of late due to the club's poor form. The FA Cup holders won their European clash with Molde 3-0 to maintain their perfect start and qualify for the UEL round of 32 but in their domestic league, it's a whole different question.

The Gunners enter their showdown with Wolves on a two-game winless run, having lost 3-0 at home to Aston Villa prior to the international break only to draw 0-0 at Leeds right after play resumed. This means Aubameyang and Co. have picked up only one victory in their last five games, a run of results that has seen them drop to 14th, picking up only 13 points from their opening nine matches.

The key issue that threatens to derail their season is the lack of creativity. The exile of Mesut Ozil and the drop in form from Aubameyang, Lacazette, and Willian have left the club struggling to score goals or even create chances. Gone are the days of the free-flowing attacking football fans got accustomed to during the Arsene Wenger days.

Arteta's men struggle against clubs that defend in low blocks and as a result, Nuno Espirito Santo could benefit from employing that tactic. His side sit above Arsenal in the standings, occupying the 10th spot, but that is merely due to a one-point advantage. Raul Jimenez and Co. boast the joint-second best defense so far this season (tied with Chelsea and Arsenal) with only 10 goals conceded but are also level with Arsenal for the joint-second worst attack, scoring only nine times – only Burnley and Sheffieldd have done worse (4).

Team news

Arsenal: Pepe is unavailable for the home side as he is serving his suspension for the red card he received against Leeds. This is a huge disappointment as the Ivorian was influential in the recent Europa League win. Thomas Partey is unlikely to feature due to a thigh problem but Willian and Elneny are hopeful of returning. David Luiz and Saka are doubts but several youngsters who impressed in Europe will be pushing for a start, including Nelson and Willock – the latter started against Leeds and should make the lineup once again.

Wolves: Conor Coady is back for the visitors and will likely slot right back into the lineup. Jonny Castro, however, is out due to a knee injury while Romain Saiss is sidelined due to COVID-19.
