Once again, Zinedine Zidane has been questioned about his future as Real Madrid boss, and the French tactician did not hesitate to come clean about what the next days could have in store for him.
Los Blancos have only won one of their last five games, and losing to Alavés and Shakhtar this week has placed Zidane's job in jeopardy. Speaking about that subject, Zidane has already admitted that he will leave the club with a clear conscience since he has given his all for the club and has never thought he is larger or bigger than the Spanish club.
"I've never considered myself as untouchable. I didn't think that as a player, or as a coach, or as a person. I'm here to squeeze this experience until the final day I get to be here. There have been other complicated moments, and I feel strong enough to find solutions. All we want to do is play a good game tomorrow," Zidane stated.
Even if he is currently struggling to win games with the club, Zidane admitted that the players are not to be blamed for the team's woeful form. In fact, he ruled out any problems with any of his players.
"All the players want is to go out there and do their thing, they have always showed me their love. I've played and coached here, I know the history I have here and it's true that we can't always have things going the way we want. Sometimes we forget about how to get things done, and all we have to do to get out of this funk is to get together and work for it. We will get out of this for sure," Zidane added.
Unfortunately for Real Madrid, team captain and leader Sergio Ramos will still be sidelined due to a muscular problem, and Zidane added how he will not risk losing Ramos for an extended time by forcing him to play on Saturday or against Borussia Mönchengladbach next week.
"We're not going to risk any players, whether they are Sergio or anyone else. I don't want to send a player in with a complaint and worsen things later. We will see how we deal with that tomorrow, but I want to have all players around when they are healthy," Zidane concluded.
