Liverpool vs Man City, Real Betis vs Barcelona, Sporting Braga vs Porto, Juve vs Inter, and the FIFA Club World Cup comprise our list of must-watch games.

What are the must-watch games this week?

Liverpool vs Man City this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET live on NBCSN

This Sunday will see England's top two teams lock horns in a game that could heavily influence the hectic Premier League title race. Fourth-placed Liverpool host a high-flying Man City side at Anfield at probably the worst time possible, having lost back-to-back home games for the first time since September 2012. Additionally, the defending champions have failed to score in three consecutive home league fixtures for the first time in 37 years, which is worrying because Guardiola's men boast the English top-flight's best defensive record. A defeat against the Citizens would leave Klopp's side a whopping 10 points behind Man City – that gap would be stretched to 13 points should Sterling and Co. win their game in hand. As a result, this is a do-or-die tie for Liverpool's title defense. Do not miss this weekend showdown.

Real Betis vs Barcelona this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on beIN Sports and Fanatiz USA

Barcelona have fought their way back up the Spanish Primera Division table thanks to a string of lovely results. While the title race remains an uphill battle due to Atletico Madrid's 10-point lead at the top, the Blaugrana have climbed to second in La Liga and will be aiming to maintain their excellent form in the build-up to their UEFA Champions League clash vs PSG. Messi and Co. have won five on the trot and are without defeat in their last 10 league fixtures. Their clash with Real Betis, however, will be no walk in the park given that Los Verdiblancos are in the running for a European qualification and thus cannot afford a slip up. The last time the home side beat the Catalan giants was in November 2018. Will Pellegrini's side end their wait for a win over Barcelona? Tune in to find out.

Juventus vs Inter Milan on Wednesday at 2:45 p.m. ET live on Fanatiz USA, Rai Italia Nord America, and ESPN+

Juventus and Inter Milan will battle it out in the second and last leg of their thrilling Copa Italia semi-final match-up. The two Italian heavyweights locked horns at the San Siro for the first leg, with the Bianconeri emerging triumphant via a 2-1 comeback win – they went a goal down but fought their way back courtesy of a Cristiano brace. That result has put them in the driving seat to make the final as Pirlo's men attempt to clinch their second piece of silverware this season, having won the Supercoppa Italiana a while back. However, it should be noted that the Nerazzurri beat Juventus 2-0 when the pair faced off in Serie A last month and thus cannot be underestimated regardless of the home advantage. Furthermore, Pirlo's side will face Roma in the league prior to this Coppa Italia showdown, meaning the result of that tricky weekend game could decide whether Ronaldo and Co. enter their clash with Conte's crew with confidence or as wounded gazelles.

There, they will face either Bayern Munich or Al Ahly, with the reigning UEFA Champions League holders being the favorites to progress due to their rampant form. The 1 p.m. ET final will decide whether this title will be lifted by the champions of Europe for the eighth time running or whether UEFA's stranglehold will be brought to an end.

Real Madrid send classy tweet to Cristiano after historic brace in Coppa Italia win vs Inter

Last Tuesday, Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed a historic performance in the first leg Coppa Italia semi-final clash with Inter Milan, with the Portuguese superstar scoring both goals in their 2-1 comeback victory.

For context, many sources argue that Josef Bican's record for most official goals scored by a single player in football history stood at 762, not 759. This means, according to those records, Ronaldo only surpassed the Austrian-Czech icon during the midweek with the 762nd and 763rd strikes of career. As a result, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner was hailed after his heroics against the Nerazzurri, with former club Real Madrid sending out a classy congratulatory tweet to the 35-year-old.

An American derby at the heart of Saturday's huge clash between Juventus and Roma

This weekend, Serie A fans could potentially see a very interesting derby unfold when Scudetto holders Juventus welcome Roma on Saturday, February 6th. Currently, just one point separates the high-flying Giallorossi, who sit in third, from the recently resurgent Bianconeri, who rest in fourth – meaning that this game could really shake things up in the league standings. Any match featuring Juventus and Roma is always one to watch as the rivalry between the two sides intensified in the 1980s and hasn't abated since. La Vecchia Signora and the Lupi have already met up this season, with their matchday two clash finishing as a two-all draw at the Stadio Olimpico thanks to Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo restoring parity twice to balance out a brace from French midfielder Jordan Veretout.

So, what's this derby about? Well, earlier this week, Roma signed 19-year-old defender Bryan Reynolds on a deal worth up to €7.5 million if the capital-based club decide to make his loan deal permanent. Reynolds, who hails from Texas and previously was on the books at FC Dallas, is now the eighth American to play in Serie A, and the second acquired by Roma following Michael Bradley's tenure from 2012 to 2014. Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the pitch will be fellow Texan Weston McKennie, who made history earlier this season by becoming the first American international to sign for Juventus. The 22-year-old, who is presently with the Turin giants on a one-year loan deal from Schalke, has firmly established himself in the starting XI for Andrea Pirlo and will likely feature in Saturday's big clash. Although Reynolds just arrived in the Eternal City, it's certainly possible he could be given some game-time in Saturday's match, which will mark the first time two American internationals have been on the pitch at the same time in Serie A – so many USA based fans surely won't want to miss out on this one.

Manchester United hit Southampton for NINE to equal the biggest-ever win record in Premier League history

It was a historic night at Old Trafford as Man United completely battered Southampton in Tuesday's Premier League encounter to keep up pace with rivals Man City. The rampageous Red Devils came out with all guns blazing, putting nine goals past the Saints to match the biggest-ever win record in the league's history.

There were seven different goalscorers in the night's win, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial (2x), Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, and Daniel James all getting on the scoresheet. The remaining one goal was scored by Southampton's very own Jan Bednarek who had a night to forget. After seeing debutant Alexandre Jankewitz take an early shower with his sending-off inside the first two minutes, the Polish defender added to his side's misery by conceding a spot-kick, before picking the second red card of the game.

Eden Hazard's injury woes make a return

Eden Hazard has been ruled out for the next four to six weeks due to a new injury problem. The Belgian ace will be out for the games against Valencia and Atlético in La Liga, but more importantly, he is set to watch the first leg of the UEFA Champions League against Atalanta at home. As of now, the player has spent over 283 days recovering from different injuries. Now, the main problem for Real Madrid will be to figure out what to do with one of the biggest transfer flops in their history.

This Week in Women's Football:

The FA Women's Super League will be back in action this weekend boasting three games that you cannot miss.

Manchester United and Reading will kick off Sunday's FA WSL games at 7:30 a.m. ET. A Man United win would see the Red Devils retake the first position in the table from Chelsea. Casey Stoney's side need to tread carefully against the Royals, who have taken points from Arsenal and Man City so far this season.

Chelsea and Brighton are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET. By that time, Chelsea will know if Man Utd were able to overtake them. Nonetheless, the Blues, who remain undefeated in league-play, will be looking for blood when they step on Kingsmeadow Stadium to take on the Seagulls.

Lastly, Arsenal and Manchester City will compete in a must-win showdown at 9:30 a.m. ET to conclude Matchday 14. A win is the only outcome that will keep either team in the race for the 2020/21 FA WSL title leaving zero margins of error.

Andres Villas-Boas sacked by Marseille after offering his resignation over transfer dispute during a presser

Andres Villas-Boas has been sacked by Marseille after the Portuguese boss offered his resignation on live television during Tuesday's explosive press conference. The former Porto and Chelsea tactician admitted that he had vetoed a move for Olivier Ntcham but was left livid after the club signed the attacker from Celtic against his wishes.

"He's a player I specifically said no to. I learned about it when I woke up and went on the number one Olympique Marseille website," Villas-Boas said.

"I submitted my resignation, saying that I didn't agree with the sporting policy. Management didn't give me final say on things. I don't want money, I just want to go."

This is the latest drama to engulf the Ligue 1 side, with the club reeling from a recent attack on their training ground by disgruntled ultras.
