The youngster landed himself in the record books with his goal against Lazio in Tuesday's Champions League clash.

Former Chelsea youth prospect Jamal Musiala wrote his name in the history books of the UEFA Champions League by scoring a goal in Bayern Munich's big win over Lazio. The teenager was on target for the Bavarians' second goal of the night as they ran away with a 4-1 away victory ahead of the Round of 16 second leg encounter at the Allianz Arena.

Robert Lewandowski drew first blood for Hans Flick's side inside the first nine minutes before Musiala added a second in the 24th minute. Leroy Sane then gave the visitors a three-goal cushion in the 42nd minute before Francesco Acerbi's own-goal at the beginning of the second half sealed the deal. Not long after, Joaquin Correa scored Lazio's consolation goal.

In retrospect, Musaila's first half goal made him Bayern Munich's youngest UEFA Champions League goalscorer at the age of at the age of 17 years and 363 days. He replaced former Ghanaian international Samuel Kuffour in the all-time club leaderboard, who initally set the record by scoring against Spartak Moscow in the 1994 European Cup at the age of 18 years, one month and 30 days old.

In addition, Musaila became the youngest English player to ever score a Champions League goal. The record was previously held by Liverpool's Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain during his Arsenal his days. The Englishman scored in the Gunners' 2-1 victory against Olympiakos in September 2011 at the age of 18 years and 44 days.
