League leaders Bayern will be hoping to make it three Klassiker wins in three meetings this season when they welcome familiar foes Dortmund on Saturday, March 6th.

Preview: Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund

Saturday will feature the latest installment of Germany's famous Klassiker, and both teams will be gunning for more than just three points. For Bayern, who are hoping to win a ninth consecutive league title, winning will potentially put some more distance between die Roten and RB Leipzig, who currently are just two points behind. As for Dortmund, a victory will be the perfect revenge after losing the last two Klassiker ties this season. But besides the sweet taste of revenge, die Schwarzgelben will end a frustrating hoodoo that has seen them lose their last six matches in Munich while putting themselves in serious contention for a Champions League berth.

Bayern come into this match having crushed Cologne 5-1, which was the perfect response after earning just one point from their prior two league games. However, Hansi Flick's side still have some major issues on the defensive front, which could come back to haunt them in this tie. Their opponents arrive having won their last four games across all competitions, and with their Norwegian star Erling Haaland in fine form, Edin Terzic's men certainly have the potential to create some nervy moments for the reigning champs.

Dortmund, however, do have a worrying injury list, with players like Jadon Sancho and Gio Reyna likely to miss out after suffering injuries during the team's recent 3-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld. In addition, their former striker Robert Lewandowski seems to have a knack for scoring against them. The Polish ace, who is seeking to break Gerd Muller's long standing record has already racked up 19 strikes in his last 22 meetings with his ex-employers. That includes a hat-trick, as well as five braces, and given that he's netted a whopping 28 goals so far, one would be wise not to bet against him finding the back of the net once again on Saturday.
