Club soccer made its return to U.S. television last week, but that did not get in the way of TUDN’s broadcast of the Concacaf Olympic Qualifiers Final between Honduras and Mexico.

The final showdown saw Mexico win the tournament for a third consecutive time, and it became the most-watched soccer screening on U.S. TV last week with 673,000 average viewers. Also, the broadcast received a 0.27 viewership rating for the number of viewers it garnered on Tuesday, March 30. 

TUDN also broadcasted a couple of Liga MX matches that stood out in Showbuzzdaily's top 150 cable originals and network finals last week. Sunday's game between Leon and Toluca reached 350,000 viewers, and Saturday's Club America game against Necaxa saw 379,000 viewers tune in. All in all, TUDN attracted a total of 2,645,000 viewers across nine broadcasts.

A couple of English Premier League games aired on NBC Sports Network snuck into the top-three viewership podium in the week of Tuesday, March 30, through Monday, April 5. Manchester United's 2-1 comeback win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday was the second most-watched soccer game on U.S. TV last week. The screening received a 0.23 rating for the 494,000 average viewers it attracted. The third-most watched game of the week with 451,000 average viewers was Manchester City's 2-0 away win against Leicester City on Saturday. The broadcast received a 0.25 rating.

NBCSN also screened Liverpool's 3-0 away win at Arsenal on Saturday. The broadcast received a 0.27 rating after 433,000 viewers tuned in. The English-language channel amassed 2,757,000 viewers across seven games.

ESPN 2 aired two soccer matches last week, including a UEFA World Cup qualifier game and a German Bundesliga match. The World Cup qualifier saw England defeat Poland 2-1 on Wednesday and attracted 134,000 viewers. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich defeated RB Leipzig 1-0 away from home, and the broadcast garnered 95,000 viewers.
