  • After six rounds, there are still three teams yet to win a single game: Moreirense, Famalicão, and Belenenses, who sit in 15th, 17th, and 18th respectively on three points
  • At the opposite end of the table, Benfica are still going strong, with six wins from six seeing the Eagles sitting four points clear of the chasing pack
  • All of Portugal's "Big Three" sides: Benfica, Porto, and Sporting CP remain unbeaten after six matches, although Porto and Sporting CP have dropped points 
  • Curiously, the aforementioned trio also have all conceded three goals, although Benfica's 16 scored means that the Eagles have the strongest attack thus far
  • By contrast, Moreirense, who have shipped 15 have the weakest defense, while Belenenses have scored just three goals, showing that these two teams, who have not won a single game really are having a torrid time so far in the Primeira Liga

Top Primeira Liga matches: September 24 to September 27

Sporting CP vs Marítimo: After ending their winless streak with a hard-fought 1-0 road win over Estoril, Sporting will be looking to close the gap on Benfica as they prepare to host Marítimo on Friday in matchday seven's opener.

Gil Vicente vs Porto: Like Sporting, Porto also rebounded following a draw by crushing Moreirense 5-0 in their last win. However, they're still four points behind league leaders Benfica and so will be going for max points when they take on a Gil Vicente side who have failed to win since matchday one.

Vitória Guimarães vs Benfica: The Eagles will take to the pitch on Saturday, a little less than 24 hours after both Sporting CP and Porto will be in action on Friday. Depending on how things go, the current league leaders could find their advantage cut to just one point before their upcoming match, and it's safe to say they will be hoping to make it a lucky seven in terms of wins in order to stay ahead of the pack.
