Unfortunately, the hosts have been rocked with an unwanted injury blow courtesy of the international break. Liverpool could be without influential full-back Andy Robertson for this clash after the Scottish international hobbled off the pitch during their World Cup qualifier against Denmark, which they won 2-0.
The defender was taken off in the 79th minute after suffering a thigh injury. According to the Times, Robertson underwent a scan on Tuesday and while it was determined that the knock was nothing serious, Liverpool are set to rest him this weekend in order to avoid unnecessary risk, with Kostas Tsimikas all but destined to deputize.
The Scottish defender is the latest name to join the treatment table, with the likes of Joe Gomez, Harvey Elliot, Naby Keita, James Milner, and Roberto Firmino all being sidelined. However, it is not all bad news for Klopp's side as two players who picked up knocks while on international duty look to have recovered in time.
They are none other than Sadio Mane and Jordan Henderson. The Senegalese ace returned to training despite picking up a rib injury against Togo last Thursday while the English midfielder is also expected to be fit despite withdrawing from the Three Lions.
Klopp's men are currently fourth in the table, sitting four points adrift of league leaders Chelsea. Arsenal, on the other hand, are fifth and could leapfrog the Merseyside giants should they triumph at Anfield in what should be an interesting affair.
