CentroAmerica TV is an American pay-TV network targeted at Central Americans. It is owned by Hemisphere Media Group, a U.S. media company which also operates other Spanish-language networks, including Cinelatino, Televisión Dominicana, WAPA and WAPA America. Its programming includes newscasts, entertainment and lifestyle content, as well as soccer coverage.
CentroAmerica TV’s history of soccer telecasts over the years features live soccer action from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama. It has also televised live FIFA World Cup Qualifying matches. In 2019, it was reported that the network had recorded significant growth for the year’s second quarter, owing to its coverage of El Salvador’s Primera Division. At the time, the championship was said to have delivered CentroAmerica TV’s highest sports ratings ever. Watched by over 3 million subscribers, the network is part of the channel line-ups of major American cable, satellite and telco providers.
CentroAmerica TV is available on DirecTV channel 428 in SD, and on DISH channel 832. On Spectrum, it is on channel 907. In 2015, it launched on Cox Communications cable systems in Arizona, the Central Cost, Kansas, Las Vegas, Northwest Arkansas, Omaha, Orange County, San Diego and Sun Valley.
Other TV providers and services carrying CentroAmerica TV include AT&T U-verse, Atlantic Broadband, CenturyLink, Frontier, Optimum, RCN, Verizon Fios and Xfinity. Partner over-the-top (OTT) platforms such as Sling TV also stream CentroAmerica TV’s content to their subscribers online. Such streaming services may additionally have dedicated apps for mobile devices and connected TVs to let users enjoy live TV from anywhere.
