About Peacock

Peacock is an over-the-top subscription streaming service in USA owned by NBCUniversal. The direct-to-consumer service was first made available to Xfinity customers in April 2020, two months before its official launch date. With live and on-demand streams both accessible on the platform, Peacock was created to feature shows, events and other programs from brands operated under NBCUniversal.

In addition to entertainment content, Peacock offers sports streams, some of which may be available on fellow OTT service NBC Sports Gold. Sports disciplines for which Peacock has obtained contracts or inherited broadcast rights to, in the past, include American football, golf, soccer, wrestling, and many others through the Summer Olympics.

Peacock comes with different subscription plans and is available online nationwide in America, and on a wide variety of mobile devices, as well as smart TVs.

The Peacock Premium tier will air 175 live matches and over 1,500 hours of English Premier League programming which will include ful match replays for all 380 EPL matches on-demand. Games will be made available after 9PM ET.

Peacock Broadcast Rights

England - Premier League (2016-2022) NBC Sports has acquired multi-platform rights, making it the exclusive EPL broadcaster in USA. Both live and repeat coverage will be available on its family of TV channels. The majority of Premier League games on television will be aired on NBCSN, with other matches allocated to flagship network NBC and also CNBC—all in English language. More details The rest of the games will be brought to viewers by NBC Sports online and mobile apps, live and on demand. Some key fixtures may be overflown to NBC's entertainment channels when no slots are available on its sports-dedicated networks—for example, on the last match day when all games are usually played simultaneously. Throughout the Premier League season, Spanish-language coverage will be provided by Telemundo, Universo and their respective streaming services. Game highlights, previews, post-match analysis and magazine shows will be produced by NBC Sports as well to complement their full match coverage.
