About Viaplay Denmark

Viaplay is an online streaming platform owned and operated by the Nordic Entertainment Group. This service was made available to users in May 2007 to give users a chance to watch their favorite movies and sports events while on-the-go. 

Over the years, Viaplay has been known for streaming movies, TV series, and sports events. Users can choose to subscribe to the service for a month or a year, or simply buy or rent the live event or movie they want to watch. Each of these options have a different cost.

Viaplay has streamed content for most of the disciplines the network has broadcasting rights to. Some of those disciplines have included football competitions, hockey, American football, basketball, golf, motorsports, and more. 

Some of the football leagues covered by this service over the years have included the Dutch Eredivisie, the French Ligue 1, the Danish First Division, the German Bundesliga, the English Premier League, and the Australian A-League. Furthermore, tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League have also been covered on this streaming service for many years. Added to that, National Team football has also been available to watch, with the service covering UEFA Euro Qualifiers and more. 

Users can access all content available on Viaplay on the most popular web browsers, on mobile phones and tablets that work with operating systems such as Android, Windows, and iOS. Certain SmartTVs are also supported, and videogame consoles such as PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One have also given users a chance to stream content.

Viaplay Denmark Broadcast Rights

	FIFA Women's World Cup (2023) Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group has acquired exclusive rights to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The Nordic multi-platform broadcaster will air every match on OTT streaming service Viaplay, while its free-to-air networks will telecast select games.
	UEFA Champions League (2021-2024) Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group has extended its exclusive UEFA Champions League broadcast rights in Denmark until 2024. Whereas airings will be carried out on pay-television, all matches will be streamed live on the broadcaster’s pan-Nordic OTT service Viaplay. Under this new three-year deal between NENT and UEFA, coverage of the Champions League in Denmark will also include match highlights and extensive studio programming.
	Africa Cup of Nations (2022-2023) Nordic Entertainment’s (NENT Group) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have agreed a multi-year broadcast partnership for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Denmark. Viaplay, NENT's streaming service covers all 52 games from the 2021 AFCON for subscribers based in Denmark, plus offers additional bonus content including pre and post match analysis, goal highlights, and more.
	England - Premier League (2022-2028) Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has acquired multi-platform English Premier League rights in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, in a deal that runs from 2022 to 2028. Live EPL streaming will be available on Viaplay – the leading online video streaming service in the Nordic region. Live Premier League matches and full replays may also be aired on NENT’s pay-TV and free-TV channels. 	Germany - Bundesliga (2021-2025) NENT Group has retained its Bundesliga rights in the Nordic region until 2025. The broadcast deal extension will see the pan-Nordic broadcaster air over 300 live German Bundesliga matches on its streaming service Viaplay, every season. 	Germany - DFL-Supercup (2021-2029) Nordic Entertainment (NENT) Group’s OTT streaming service has acquired exclusive rights to the annual German Super Cup through 2029 following an extension on a prior four-year deal. The Super Cup will be live-streamed on Viaplay, NENT Group’s OTT service in high definition.

	Germany - Bundesliga 2 (2021-2025) NENT Group will continue to maintain their exclusive rights in Denmark through 2025 as a result of their four-year deal with Bundesliga International, a subsidiary of the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga. Bundesliga matches over the course of the next four years via Viaplay’s high-def OTT’s live-streaming service, with game-day comments, key match highlights, and analysis all provided in Danish.
	Africa Women Cup of Nations (2022-2023) Nordic Entertainment’s (NENT Group) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have agreed a multi-year broadcast partnership for the Women's African Cup of Nations in Denmark. For the first time, the women's competition is being streamed live on Viaplay, NENT's streaming service.
	CAF Champions League (2022-2023) NENT Group and the CAF have secured a multi-year broadcast arrangement for the CAF Champions League in Denmark. This deal sees Viaplay, NENT's streaming service, provide live streaming access for the 2021/22 and 2022/23 editions of the annual competition.
	CAF Confederation Cup (2022-2023) NENT Group and the CAF have signed a multi-year broadcast plan for the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup until 2023 in Denmark. The agreement has Viaplay, NENT's streaming service, providing live streaming access for the 2021/22 and 2022/23 iterations of African club football's secondary competition.

	Scotland - Scottish Championship (2020-2025) NENT Group has secured Nordic media rights to the Scottish Championship following a deal with the Scottish Professional Football League that will run for five years, from 2020 to 2025. NENT Group’s package includes 35 matches from the Scottish second-tier division along with the Scottish League Cup, and coverage will be available on OTT service Viaplay in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
	Scotland - Scottish League Cup (2020-2025) Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has secured Nordic rights to the Scottish League Cup until 2025 and will show live matches from the domestic cup on its OTT streaming service Viaplay in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
	Scotland - Scottish Premiership (2020-2025) Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group) has extended its Nordic media rights for the Scottish Premiership in a five-year deal that will run through 2025. NENT Group’s OTT streaming service Viaplay will show 48 matches live from the Premiership every season in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden.
