The Central American Cup, or Copa Centroamericana, is a club football tournament operated by the Central American Football Union, one of Concacaf’s branches. It is a preliminary competition that grants access to the Concacaf Champions Cup, and it was launched in 2023. The Copa Centroamericana replaced the Concacaf League, which was used by football’s governing body in the region to gain entry to the Concacaf Champions League.

The competition sees 20 teams being drawn into four groups of five, where the two best will make it to the KO stage. Once there, all teams will play home-and-away matches to determine the winner, who will earn a spot in the Round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions Cup.

The competition will also hand out five more spots in the Champions Cup, which will be awarded to the runners-up, to those teams eliminated in the semifinals, and to the winners of a play-in, which will come out of the losers in the Quarterfinal stage.

Coverage of this competition in the United States has been awarded to Fox Sports, who will cover the Central American Cup on TV and via its streaming platforms in English. For those who speak Spanish, TUDN and streaming platform ViX will cover the competition in that language. Both companies acquired broadcasting rights for this tournament until 2025.
