UEFA U19 European Championship - Women History, Format, Organization, Media Coverage
The UEFA Women’s U19 Championship is an annual cup competition contested by the continent’s under-19 women’s national teams. This tournament began in 1997, with the 1997-1998 season being an U18 event before increasing the age limit by a year by 2001–02. When held in odd-numbered years, the competition acts as the UEFA qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, with the top four teams from the UEFA Women’s U19 Championship earning tickets to the FIFA event.
