PSG look to capitalize off of Lille's recent slip up when they host St. Etienne. Here's a preview of Sunday's Ligue 1 clash.

PSG vs St. Etienne -- preview

Having booked their spot in the UEFA Champions League semifinals over the midweek, PSG shift their focus back to Ligue 1 this weekend, with the reigning champions resuming their title defense in their upcoming clash with St. Etienne. The Parc des Princes will be the venue for this 7 a.m. ET clash as Les Parisiens look to profit off of Lille's recent slip up.

With only six games left for PSG in the French top-flight campaign, Pochettino's men find themselves in a tricky situation. Having lost 1-0 at home to Lille flipped the entire title race, with Les Dogues moving three points clear of Neymar and Co. Fast forward until today and that gap has increased to four points.

However, it should be pointed out that Christophe Galtier the reason Lille are four points ahead and not six, as it should be, is due to their draw with Montpellier on Friday. The league leaders played out a 1-1 draw with Montpellier, meaning PSG could move within a point of Renato Sanches and Co.

Can the Paris giants pull this off? Confidence is at an all-time high at the Parc des Pricees, with the French giants have qualified for this season's UEFA Champions League penultimate stage. Pochettino's side took on Bayern Munich, who entered the clash s title defenders, and eliminated the Bundesliga champions.

Despite losing 1-0 at the Parc des Princes, where they've lost three times in row now, Les Parisiens secured progression thanks to away goals, having won 3-2 in the Allianz Arena courtesy of Mbappe's first-leg brace. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's scored the only strike in a game which should have seen plenty of more goals, with Neymar squandering several opportunities to get his name on the scoresheet.

PSG will face Man City in the semis but their immediate focus is on Sunday's clash with St Etienne. Victory would make for an exciting end to the league campaign. Unfortunately for Les Verts, they have not been enjoying the best of campaigns, sitting in 13th with a mere nine-point cushion over the relegation zone.

Claude Puel's side have hovered dangerously close to the danger zone but with three wins from their last four outings, the mid-table side are all but safe for this season. The question on everyone's mind is whether St. Etienne can beat PSG? Tune in to find out.
