The Portuguese playmaker has one specific demand to put pen to paper to a five-year deal with the English club.

Bruno Fernandes has been quite a success at Old Trafford, and with that in mind, the club's hierarchy is willing to keep him around for a very long time. Nevertheless, the Portuguese footballer has named one surprising condition to extend his deal with the English club, and it's not about money or the length of the deal.

According to a report by The Sun, the former Sporting CP footballer will wait and see how the team behaves in the upcoming transfer window to sign a new deal with the English side, and while adding talented players to their roster will be a good place to start, keeping Paul Pogba around will be decisive for Fernandes to sign a new deal.

The report states that Fernandes and Pogba have a great relationship both on and off the pitch, and if the Frenchman is let go once the season ends, Fernandes will reportedly think if he has a better chance of winning trophies at Old Trafford or elsewhere.

Pogba's deal at Manchester United will end with the 2021-22 season, and agent Mino Raiola has openly stated that the footballer may consider his future away from the Threatre of Dreams. If things go as planned for Raiola and Pogba, Fernandes may not be as keen on signing a new contract with the Red Devils.

Bruno Fernandes has scored 16 goals and has handed out 11 assists across all competitions for Manchester United, and while the chances of winning the Premier League title this year seem to be slim, the Portuguese ace will try to lead the Red Devils to a UEFA Europa League final and eventual title in the remaining weeks of this season, which would also mark his first trophy with the English club.
