Racing Louisville will look to win its first home game at Lynn Family Stadium against the North Carolina Courage on Monday at 6 p.m. ET. Racing is currently last in the Eastern Division table with one point after two games.
Louisville drew 2-2 against the Orlando Pride on opening weekend and then lost to the Washington Spirit 1-0 last Thursday. Racing saw plenty of action in the dying minutes of both games. The NC Courage, on the other hand, is in a better position to qualify for the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup. With a win 3-2 on opening weekend against the Washington Spirit and a 4-3 loss to Gotham FC last Tuesday, the Courage has three points and will look to make it nine with wins over Louisville and the Orlando Pride.
North Carolina head coach Paul Riley should be satisfied with his team's offensive efforts so far in the competition. The Courage leads the tournament in goals, with seven after just two games. Attacking players like Jessica McDonald, Hailie Mace and Debinha have been North Carolina's key players. However, the team's defense has conceded just as many goals – six.
