Matchday 20 of the FA Women’s Super League saw Chelsea and Manchester City draw 2-2, leaving the Blues two games away from winning back-to-back league titles.

The FA WSL matchdays started with its main card between Manchester City and Chelsea on Wednesday, April 21. Forward Sam Kerr added another goal to her tally by opening up the scoring in the 25th minute. Man City responded quickly with a forward Chloe Kelly equalizer in the 29th minute. Chelsea, however, took the lead again before halftime when forward Pernille Harder scored from the penalty spot. Forward Lauren Hemp scored an equalizer in the 74th minute, but the Citizens did not have enough time to score the winner that would have seen them take first place from Chelsea.

League bottom-dwellers Aston Villa and Bristol City also drew 2-2. Both teams have 12 points, but Aston Villa is in a better position with one game in hand and a better goal differential. Aston Villa will play its makeup game against 10th-place Birmingham City on Wednesday.

Arsenal and Manchester United won their respective games, meaning that they are still even on points with 41. Arsenal, however, has one game in hand. The Gunners will host West Ham United on Wednesday to go even on games played with Man United.
