After successfully seeing off PSG in the first leg of their UCL semi finals clash, Manchester City now turn their attention back to domestic affairs as they travel to face Crystal Palace on Saturday, May 1st.

Preview: Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Crystal Palace come into this match having won just one of their last five games and on a two game losing streak. They'll naturally be hoping to recover following their 2-1 loss to Leicester City on Monday, which was an especially disappointing result considering that Roy Hodgson's men had snatched an early lead through a strike from Wilfried Zaha. As things stand, the Eagles sit in 13th spot, with 38 points. They aren't 100 per cent clear of the drop, but are presently 11 points ahead of 17th-placed Fulham and do have a match in hand. Thus, for all intents and purposes, Saturday's hosts have pretty much done enough to guarantee their top-flight status for another season.

That being said, they've had a very difficult run-in of fixtures as of late, as in addition to Leicester, they've also played Everton and Chelsea, so Manchester City certainly isn't going to be any easier. And to cap things off, the Eagles still have to take on reigning champs Liverpool and Arsenal to wrap up their current campaign, so it's safe to say it's going to be a tough month ahead for Hodgson's squad.

Meanwhile, City will arrive full of confidence after pulling off a very impressive comeback in their Champions League clash with PSG. The Citizens, through goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez, now hold a crucial 2-1 advantage heading into the second leg of their semi-finals tie next week. Pep Guardiola's men have already won the League Cup, having beaten Tottenham just a few weeks prior, and although they did suffer a slight wobble as they were beaten 2-1 by newly promoted Leeds United about three weeks ago, City come into this match having won 10 of their last 11 away games.

Furthermore, with a ten point lead over Manchester United, they could effectively be crowned champions if they beat Palace and Manchester United lose to Liverpool on Sunday - something that, naturally, none of the two teams involved in that highly-anticipated tie would want to see.

Will City wrap up the title race ahead of their showdown with PSG next week? Or will Palace manage to shock their powerhouse visitors and make them wait for a little while longer to win the league title?

Team news: Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Crystal Palace: The hosts will be dealing with a whole spate of injuries heading into this tie, with Mamadou Sakho (thigh), Nathan Ferguson (thigh), James McArthur (calf), Connor Wickham (muscle), and James Tomkins (eye) all still out.

Manchester City: By contrast, the visitors will only be missing John Stone, with the English international still banned following his sending off during City's tie against Aston Villa.
