Man United vs Liverpool, Valencia vs Barcelona, Man City vs PSG, Chelsea vs Real Madrid, Roma vs Man Utd, and Arsenal vs Villarreal are just a few of the must-watch games to make our list.

What are the must-watch games this week?

Man Utd vs Liverpool this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. ET live on Telemundo, NBC Sports, and SiriuxXM FC

England's two most successful clubs will lock horns this weekend, with Liverpool set to visit bitter rivals Man United on Sunday. While this fixture might have little bearing on the Red Devils' season, with Bruno Fernandes and Co. having a firm grip on the second spot but unlikely to catch Man City at the top, this showdown could be do or die for the Merseyside giants' top-four aspirations. Klopp's side are currently on track to miss out on UEFA Champions League football next season as they rot in sixth place, trailing fourth-placed Chelsea by four points with only five games remaining. Last season's Premier League champions drew 1-1 at home to Newcastle in their last outing and will be looking to return to winning ways. Unfortunately, their opponent will be a team that thrashed Roma 6-2 in the Europa League semifinals over the midweek.

Valencia vs Barcelona this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET live on beIN Sports, fuboTV, and Fanatiz USA

Barcelona had an excellent chance to go top of the table in La Liga on Thursday when they hosted Granada, but the Catalan giants unfortunately blew that opportunity, losing 2-1 in only their second defeat in the league in 2021. Next up is an interesting trip to the Mestalla as Koeman's side look to get the better of a struggling Valencia side. Messi and Co. could snatch the top spot should Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid slip up, but given that they are facing Elche and Osasuna respectively, the Blaugrana are in no position to expect that. The last time these two sides faced off, they played out a 2-2 draw at the Camp Nou. Will a similar result follow in the reverse fixture? Tune in to find out!

Paramount+ brings Man City vs PSG, Chelsea vs Real Madrid to the US screens as the 2020/21 UCL finalists will be decided this midweek

This midweek will see the UEFA Champions League semifinals come to a wrap, with the two finalists set to be decided on Tuesday and Wednesday. Man City vs PSG is the first of the two penultimate stage fixtures to take place, with Guardiola and Pochettino set to do battle once more after their thrilling run-in at the Parc des Princes. The Citizens emerged triumphant in the first leg, with goals from De Bruyne and Mahrez pulling off a comeback victory against the 10-man Ligue 1 giants as Idrissa Gueye was sent off for a horrible challenge on Gundogan. Mbappe and Co. are still in this fixture, but overturning a 2-1 deficit away to one of Europe's best defenses will not be easy. Chelsea vs Real Madrid is the other tie, with the Blues boasting the advantage after earning a 1-1 draw in the Spanish capital. A disappointing display from Timo Werner prevented Tuchel's side from killing off the game in the first leg but the London giants are 90 minutes from a final nonetheless. Catch these semifinal showdowns live on Paramount+, as well as CBS Sports Network and popular Spanish-language broadcasters TUDN and Univision.

Europa League semifinals wrap up this midweek live on Paramount+ as Arsenal, Villarreal, Man Utd, and Roma look to book a ticket to Gdansk

The European action continues on Thursday, with the Europa League semifinals set to come to a wrap. The second leg ties will simultaneously kick off at 3 p.m. ET live on Paramount+ as Premier League giants Arsenal and Man United look to book their ticket to Gdansk, Poland. The Red Devils are all but through to the ultimate game, having beaten Roma 6-2 at Old Trafford. The hosts went into the break 2-1 down but a scintillating second-half performance from Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes saw Solskjaer's side score five goals in 45 minutes. Things are different for the Gunners, with the north London giants losing 2-1 at Villarreal after a dreadful away display. Arteta's men found themselves two-nil down in the blink of an eye and were reduced to 10 men in the second half due to Ceballos' sending off. A fortunate penalty saw Nicolas Pepe earn Arsenal a vital away goal as they head to the Emirates Stadium with the hope of pulling off a comeback. Alongside Paramount+, these 2nd leg semifinal ties will also be aired by popular Spanish-language broadcasters TUDN and Univision for fans in the Unites States.

Bayern Munich appoint Julian Nagelsman as their coach for next season

It's official: Bayern Munich have found their new coach for next season. With Hansi Flick requesting to end his Allianz Arena contract, the Bundesliga giants were forced to search for his successor and have announced the man who will lead them from the 2021/22 campaign onwards.

That man is none other than Julian Nagelsman, the young but highly-rated RB Leipzig tactician. The German top-flight champions-elect unveiled in an official statement that the 33-year-old will take over die Roten on 1 July 2021 on a five-year deal ahead of the upcoming season, signaling a new and exciting era in Munich.

Nagelsmann, who became the youngest coach in Bundesliga history when he took over Hoffenheim in 2016 at the age of 28, arrived at RB Leipzig in 2019. In his first full season in charge, he led Die Roten Bullen to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, where they lost to PSG, and a third-placed finish in the German top-flight.

As a result, prying the young tactician away from RB Leipzig was never going to be easy. In fact, it is being widely reported that Bayern were forced to pay $30M in compensation.

"I have never made a secret of the fact I am excited about the coaching position at Bayern Munich and that I would be happy to take on this job if this unique opportunity should arise," Nagelsmann said about his new job. However, the 33-year-old stressed that he will not take his foot off the gas in his final few months at the Red Bull Arena as Nkunku and Co. look to finish the season as strongly as possible.

So who will replace the German tactician at RB Leipzig? That's an excellent question!

RB Leipzig turn to American manager Jesse Marsch to lead team for next season

After losing their young brilliant tactician Julian Naglesmann to Bayern - who continue to cherry pick the best talents off their rivals - RB Leipzig have quickly moved to replace him. The man set to lead die Roten Bullen next season will be none other than American manager Jesse Marsch.

Marsch is a name familiar to many fans, especially followers of the Austrian Bundesliga. Under the Princeton graduate's leadership, Salzburg finished first last season and currently are top of the table. Notably, Marsch is the first American tactician to not only win a top-flight European trophy as he's won the Austrian Cup, but also is the first American manager to successfully coach a team in the UEFA Champions League. During the 2019/2020 season, Salzburg featured in the group stages, and although they didn't make it to the round of 16, they were in a quartet alongside Liverpool, Napoli, and Belgian outfit Genk - but they did finish third to drop down into the Europa League.

Marsch's arrival at Leipzig will see him link up with USMNT international Tyler Adams, which will certainly get fans of the Stars and Stripes really excited to see him work with the promising youngster.

De Bruyne makes history with goal vs PSG in UCL semi-final

Kevin De Bruyne entered the record books as the first Manchester City player to score a goal in the semifinal of the UEFA Champions League for the Cityzens. The 29-year-old playmaker, in a rather bizarre manner, netted his side's equalizer in Wednesday night's first leg clash with Paris Saint-Germain after seeing his side go behind in the first half.

Former treble-winning Barcelona coach Luis Enrique urges team to let Messi leave

While some voices urge Barcelona to do everything in their power to try and keep Lionel Messi around, there are others who believe that the process of adapting to life after Leo would be easier if the club decided to part ways with him as soon as possible.

One of those who believe that the second approach is proper is none other than Luis Enrique, who had his share of problems with Messi when he coached Barcelona. The current La Roja boss spoke in a documentary about this issue, and asked fans and those within the team not to worry about the club's future without "La Pulga".

"Barcelona will win titles without him and they will do so sooner than you think. Barcelona should not be afraid of the post-Messi era," Luis Enrique said.

Speaking of Messi…

Transfer: Lionel Messi reportedly edging closer to PSG move

The Argentine player has failed to commit to a new deal with Barcelona, and while many believe he will stay put, some experts think that he is ready to seek pastures new. That idea is believed to have gotten to the ears of PSG executives, and they have reportedly come up with an offer that Messi will find too tempting to turn down.

According to TNT Sports reporter Marcelo Bechler, the player's entourage got an offer from the Ligue 1 giants that will get him closer to playing in the French capital. The only details shared by Bechler, who was the journalist that revealed Neymar's signing with Les Parisiens, included the length of the deal and how the player's wages would be astronomical.

"Messi's entourage received a two-year deal from PSG, with the option of adding one more. Moreover, the wages he will be offered would be very hard to turn down. Neymar and Messi's deals with PSG will be the first big deals to be celebrated after the COVID-19 pandemic," Bechler stated.

Japan's top flight seeks compensation from government due to COVID-19 losses

In Japan, the nation's government recently announced on April 25th that a third state of emergency had gone into effect. This means that much of the country would be shutting down, including restaurants, shopping centers and other large facilities, and thus, football stadiums, with the latest shutdown expected to last until around May 11th.

As such, no fans will be allowed in stadiums in all of Japan's major cities, including Tokyo. Given that this is right in the middle of the 2021 J1 League campaign, four matches will be impacted, hence causing a massive loss in revenue for the clubs involved.

League chairman Mitsuru Murai highlighted exactly where his organization stands when pressed for a comment after a meeting with other board members:

"[After careful consideration, we have decided that] we will request compensation after calculating the losses from refunding tickets and holding games without spectators.

"[Besides], we have proven that spectators can be welcomed into stadiums safely. If I had communicated our position more convincingly to the public, it might have made a difference."
