The Special One had reportedly eyed the footballer as Harry Kane's replacement at Tottenham if the English ace left the club.

Jose Mourinho's return to the Italian top-flight will attract a good amount of attention, and the possibility of working with the once-successful boss may be enough to seduce some players.

With that in mind, Mourinho has handed Roma's hierarchy a list of players he is keen on working with, and the first name on the list belongs to a Premier League striker who has been linked with Manchester United and even Tottenham Hotspur when Mourinho was in charge.

That man is none other than Raúl Jiménez, Wolverhampton and Mexican National Team's striker. As of now, Jiménez is still recovering from a head injury caused by a nasty head clash against Arsenal's David Luiz, but with his recovery reaching its final stages, Jiménez's signing would come in handy for Mou's purposes, according to Italian football experts.

"José Mourinho's wishlist will be limited to what's strictly necessary, but for quality purposes, Roma will need a strong striker, and we'd be talking about Raúl Jiménez, Wolverhampton's striker," stated Alfredo Pedullá, a journalist for SportItalia and La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Mourinho would make a second attempt to sign Jiménez for one of his teams. According to the same report, Mourinho had named Jiménez as a top priority to replace Harry Kane at Spurs if he ended leaving the club, something that did not happen last summer. Now, with a new project in his hands, the Portuguese boss might finally be able with the Mexican striker if he is fit enough to start next season.
