Barcelona vs Atletico, Man City vs Chelsea, Real Madrid vs Sevilla, Juventus vs AC Milan, and Man United vs Liverpool are just a few of the games to make our list.

What are the must-watch games this week?

Barcelona vs Atlético Madrid this Saturday (10:15 a.m. ET) and Real Madrid vs Sevilla this Sunday (3 p.m. ET) live on beIN Sports, fuboTV, and Fanatiz USA

The Spanish Primera Division title race could -- unofficially – be won this weekend, with Barcelona and Atletico set to face off on Saturday, followed up by Real Madrid's exciting encounter with Sevilla the next day. The clash between the Blaugrana and Simeone's men is the standout fixture as Messi and Co. could leapfrog Los Rojibancos with a win, and move top of the table should Zidane's side slip up the following day. On the other hand, a draw or defeat could all but end the Catalan giants' title aspirations. As for Los Blancos, they simply need to beat Sevilla and pray Saturday's result hands them a favorable hand. A defeat for Atletico would be better for Real Madrid as they boast a superior head-to-head record over the Blaugrana and would thus win the title ahead of their bitter rivals despite being level on points with the Camp Nou outfit.

Man City vs Chelsea this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET live on NBC Sports, Universo, Telemundo, and SiriusXM FC

This fixture makes this list for two reasons. First, it will see this season's UEFA Champions League finalists face off ahead of May 29's ultimate European showdown. Furthermore, the Cityzens can secure their third league title in four years at home to the Blues. All Guardiola's men need to do is win Saturday's encounter. Tuchel got the better of the Spaniard the last time they faced off, triumphing 1-0 over the Etihad Stadium side when they met in the FA Cup final. Can he make it two consecutive triumphs over Pep? Tune in to find out.

Manchester City, Chelsea, English Premier League, Broadcast Listings

Juventus vs AC Milan this Sunday at 2:45 p.m. ET live on ESPN+

Once a clash between two teams vying for the Serie A title, Sunday's tie between Juventus and AC Milan is now merely an encounter between two teams fighting for a top-four spot. The Bianconeri are currently third while the Rossoneri sit fourth in the table, both on 69 points. However, the two teams must be wary as fifth-placed Napoli are only two points behind, hence the importance of this tie. The loser will face a fight to the death to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League. Do not miss this match.

Manchester United vs Liverpool this Thursday at 3:15 p.m. ET live on NBCSN and fuboTV

This game was set to take place last weekend but was called off after fans broke onto the Old Trafford pitch in protest against their owners in the hours leading up to kick-off. Nonetheless, the fixture will take place on Thursday and will see Man United reignite their bitter rivalry with Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp's side have not enjoyed the best of season's and are on course to miss out on Champions League football as they are seventh in the table. As for the Red Devils, they head into this fixture having booked their spot in the Europa League final, where they will face Villarreal, and will be looking to add the Merseyside giants to their list of victims.

This week in women's football, May 7, May 13, 2021, Portland Thorns, NJ/NY Gotham FC, Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, Chelsea, Manchester City, NWSL Challenge Cup Final, FA Women's Super League, Frauen-Bundesliga

The world of women's football will take full-throttle from Friday, May 6 through Thursday, May 13, exhibiting the NWSL Challenge Cup Final, the FA WSL's final matchday, a clash between Frauen-Bundesliga title challengers Wolfsburg and Bayern, and more.

NWSL Challenge Cup final

The Portland Thorns will host NJ/NY Gotham FC at Providence Park on Saturday, May 8, at 1 p.m. ET. The two sides reached the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup Final by finishing first in their respective division – East and West.

Three wins in the Thorns' first three games against Kansas City, the Chicago Red Stars and OL Reign secured them a spot in the final. Portland arrives at the championship game as heavy favorites, boasting a star-studded roster with players like Crystal Dunn, Lindsay Horan, Raquel Rodriguez, Becky Sauerbrunn, Kelli Hubly, Christine Sinclair, Sophia Smith, among other high-caliber players.

On the other hand, the newly branded Gotham FC – formerly Sky Blue FC – also qualified for the final after three games. Two wins over the Pride and the Courage and two draws against the Spirit and Louisville were enough to reach the ultimate stage. However, Freya Coombe will look for her team to score after failing to bag in a goal in the previous two matches.

CBS will broadcast the game on television in the USA and Canada. The game will be simulcasted exclusively online in the USA on Paramount+ and internationally on Twitch TV.

FA WSL final matchday

All eyes are on Chelsea and Manchester City as the final matchday of the 2021 FA Women's Super League dawns on Sunday. A win over Reading would see Chelsea lift back-to-back WSL titles. However, if the Blues draw and Man City win, the league trophy will end up in Manchester instead of London.

Chelsea will host a tricky Reading side at Kingsmeadow on Sunday, May 9 at 9:30 a.m. ET. The Royals gained a reputation of disrupting top sides this season, defeating Manchester United, drawing against Arsenal and almost ending Manchester City's title hopes in late March. However, Emma Hayes' Blues will be confident after smashing Reading 5-0 away from home in January.

Manchester City will face West Ham at Chigwell Construction Stadium at the same time as Chelsea-Reading. The Cityzens took down West Ham 4-0 at home in January and will look to take advantage of the struggling side again on Sunday.

Both games will stream live on ATA Football in the USA, Germany and Italy. Also, The FA Player will stream all the other games internationally. Keep an eye on Manchester United and Arsenal, who are battling for a UEFA Women's Champions League spot.

Frauen-Bundesliga – Wolfsburg vs. Bayern Munich

The German Frauen-Bundesliga will reach its apex on Sunday, May 9 when Wolfsburg take on league-leaders Bayern Munich at 7 a.m. ET. Two points separate the two German giants with three matchdays left in the season. The winner of the game will most likely lift the trophy in July.

Liga MX Femenil playoffs

The Liga MX Femenil quarterfinals kick off on Friday, May 7 at 11 a.m. ET, with Club America taking on Tigres UANL. Three other home legs will take place on Friday, with the away legs taking place on Monday, May 10. All eight games will be televised in the USA on TUDN.

Friday, May 7

  • Club America vs. Tigres UANL at 11 p.m. ET

  • Pumas UNAM vs. Monterrey at 1 p.m. ET

  • Toluca vs. Chivas Guadalajara at 5 p.m. ET

  • Pachuca vs. Atlas at 7:30 p.m. ET

Monday, May 10

  • Atlas vs Pachuca at 5 p.m. ET

  • Chivas Guadalajara vs. Toluca at 7 p.m. ET

  • Tigres UANL vs. Club America at 9 p.m. ET

  • Monterrey vs. Pumas UNAM at 10:30 p.m. ET

Official: Mourinho to replace Fonseca as Roma's new head coach next season

That didn't take long! Less than a month since being sacked by Tottenham, Jose Mourinho has already found himself a new job, being officially appointed the head coach at AS Roma. The Italian giants confirmed this news on social media, unveiling the highly-successful tactician as the man to lead them from the 2021/22 season onwards.

This announcement came after the inevitable departure of Paulo Fonseca was confirmed. The Giallorossi revealed that their current boss would be leaving the club once the ongoing campaign ends, a decision brought about by their failure to secure Champions League football and their Europa League semi-final collapse.

Fonseca, who arrived at the Stadio Olimpico from Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk back in 2019, issued a grateful farewell to the club and the fans ahead of his upcoming departure, and was lavished with words of praise for his dedication by Roma's executives.

Out of respect for his fellow countryman, the Special One stated that he would only speak further regarding the Italian giants "in due course". This will be the 58-year-old's second spell in the Italian top-flight, having coached Inter Milan to a historic treble back in 2010.

Barcelona suffer major blow as young star ruled out for rest of season

This season has seen the emergence of several promising young stars at Barcelona, with 18-year-old Ansu Fati being among them.

Last season, Fati scored eight times as he made 33 appearances across all competitions. This included becoming the youngest ever player to score a brace in La Liga when he netted twice for the Blaugrana in a 2-1 win over Levante, and naturally, hopes were high that he'd enjoy a more successful sophomore campaign at Camp Nou.

In October, he became the youngest goal-scorer in El Clasico history as he grabbed Barca's consolation goal during their 3-1 loss to Real Madrid. However, his progress has been stalled lately due to a series of injuries, which resulted in him undergoing knee surgery in November.

Unfortunately, he hasn't fully recovered from that operation, and now there are reports that he's set to have another procedure performed later this month.

With this latest surgery, the 18-year-old will obviously be out for the rest of the season - but there's another huge disappointment in store: He'll also miss the upcoming EURO tournament.

Back in August 2020, Fati received his first call-up to the senior Spanish side, and there were hopes that he'd be among the 26 players selected by Luis Enrique. Regrettably, that won't happen for the youngster this time around, and fans will have to wait a bit longer to see what he can do for La Roja in future tournaments.

Mahrez's double vs PSG secures historic Champions League final berth for Manchester City

Manchester City, for the first time in their history, have successfully qualified for the final of the UEFA Champions League. The Citizens managed the feat at the expense of Paris Saint-Germain inside the Etihad Stadium, with Riyad Mahrez scoring twice to guide them to dream land.

With Tuesday night's result, they became the first Premier League side to win 11 games in a single Champions League campaign, breaking Manchester United's record set in the 2002/2003 season. They are also the first ever English team to win seven consecutive Champions League matches in a single season.

Mahrez also become the first Man City player to score in three UCL knockout stage games

Along with the vast number of channels available on the streaming platform, Fanatiz will include Fox Sports' live events, adding Liga MX, Liga MX Femenil, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, Bundesliga, and more live events to the platform's grid. The service is now available in over 90 countries around the world.

Football fans will be able to enjoy matches from the leagues of Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Italy and Germany. Moreover, international games from competitions such as the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and the CONCACAF Champions League will also be available both live and on-demand. All games that are streamed live will be available to watch in VOD format until 48 hours after their initial broadcast.

The Coppa Italia will undergo drastic changes from 2021

Once this year's Coppa Italia ends, there will be some big changes for the next version and others to come. Starting on August 15th, only 40 teams will be taking part. They will be 20 teams from Serie A and 20 teams from Serie B. This means that there will be no more teams from Serie C and Serie D involved in the competition.

The reason for this? Apparently, Italian football's governing body believes that it'd be better for both TV rights and viewers to have the teams from Serie A and Serie B feature, rather than lower level sides battling it out. Moreover, this year, no team from Serie C or D made it past the third round and in general, they don't tend to get to the round of 16 in any case.

Pochettino calls for UEFA investigation after referee allegedly insults PSG players in City loss

Mauricio Pochettino has called upon UEFA to look into the referee of the Man City vs PSG game after it was alleged the match official insulted both Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes, telling them to "f*** off". Ander Herrara made this accusation after the full-time whistle, with the involved Italian midfielder later corroborating this story.

Speaking in the post-match press conference, Pochettino, who was disappointed with his team's display, admitted that he could not hear anything from his touchline. However, the Argentine showed support for his players and called for UEFA to investigate the incident.

"They explained to the TV in some interview before, we need to believe in what they are telling us you know,' Pochettino said.

"But now the most important thing is that we are not in the final. But of course if I didn't hear nothing from the touchline, if something is there and that is how they explain, maybe UEFA will investigate the situation (sic)."
