This season's UCL finalists will lock horns in a highly anticipated Premier League clash on Saturday, May 8th.

Preview: Manchester City vs Chelsea

In just over three weeks, Manchester City and Chelsea will meet for a highly-anticipated all-English Champions League final in Istanbul. For City, this will be their first European final in over 50 years, and their first Champions League final in club history. For Chelsea, it will be their first Champions League final since winning their first back in 2012. But first, they'll be firmly focused on picking up all three points here in a game that could perhaps be best described as a "rehearsal" ahead of the big game on May 29th. This game represents a great chance for both Pep Guardiola and Thomas Tuchel to test out their tactics ahead of the titanic tie at the end of this month, and it will be very interesting to see who comes out on top.

For Manchester City, they also could be crowned Premier League champions this weekend. Last weekend could've seen that happen, but Manchester United's match against Liverpool was unfortunately called off after angry Red Devils supporters stormed Old Trafford in an attempt to effect drastic changes at the club after increasingly growing frustrated over years of a lack of progress. As things stand, City will become the next champions of England at some point. It's only a matter of when.

As for Chelsea, they currently sit in fourth place, three points ahead of West Ham. Tuchel's men aren't out of the woods just yet, and will need to finish strong in order to guarantee themselves a place in the Champions League next season. Of course, if they do win the Champions League title, it won't matter where they finish, but the Blues obviously know that City won't be a pushover in Istanbul so naturally the London powerhouse will also want to secure a top four spot just to be safe.

City come into this game with an impeccable record against London teams - they're unbeaten in their last 14 meetings with teams from England's capital, so the odds do look good for the hosts to pick up at least a point. That being said, with this being the 169th meeting between City and Chelsea, it's the visitors with the slightly better head-to-head record, with 69 wins versus the hosts' 59. Will Chelsea delay City's title celebrations for yet another week, or will the Citizens see off the Blues to clinch the title in a possible precursor of what's to come in Istanbul in just a few weeks' time?
