The Uruguayan ace showed his softer side just moments after he was crucial for Atlético to claim their 11th title in the Spanish top-flight.

Known to be quite a tough guy, Luis Suárez showed that he only needs to win the title to show his true nature.

The Uruguayan striker broke down in tears after he led Atlético Madrid to the La Liga title with a crucial goal this evening. What really stood out is that the South American ace did not hold back when speaking to the media or to his family on his mobile.

First off, the Uruguayan ace opened up about how hard it was for him to leave Barcelona, and how he thanked Los Colchoneros for giving him a chance to redeem himself.

"It was a hard situation for me last summer. I was underestimated at Barcelona and along came Atlético to give me a chance to show my worth. It was truly the hardest day for me as a pro," Suárez stated as he broke down in tears.

"It is really something to win this title. A lot of people suffered with me, my wife, my kids...It's been a lot of years in this business and this was the hardest year of them all. Even so, my numbers are there for everyone to watch, I've won five out of seven leagues since I got here, and that is truly a great feeling," Suárez added.

Later, when he had a chance to get in touch with his family, Suárez was able to let himself go and celebrate with those that helped him through one of the toughest experiences in his career. Have a look at the touching footage by scrolling down (Image might be geo-restricted).
