The Red Devils are looking to completing the signings of two midfielder powerhouses from the Premier League and the Bundesliga.

Manchester United are reportedly targetting a double swoop for two midfielders from the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga. The Red Devils are said to be advancing in talks to sign Wolves' Ruben Neves and Bayern Munich's Leon Goretzka as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to bolster his squad.

The Norweigian coach has already secured the services of Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho as well as goalkeeper Tom Heaton this summer but is expected to make a few additions as a looks to build a side capable of contesting for trophies in the upcoming season. The Manchester giants have been heavily linked with a move for Rennes teenagers Eduardo Camavinga who has been tipped to leave the club this summer. However, interest has cooled a bit in recent weeks amid claims that they are looking to wrap up a deal for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane before turning their focus elsewhere.

On Wednesday, Sport Bild reported that the talks between Bayern and Goretzka is at a stalemate and Manchester United are hoping to capitlize on that to secure the player's signing. Meanwhile, other reports emerging for Germany suggests that the former Schalke midfielder has informed the Bayern hierarchy that he is planning for a long stay at Bayern despite these recent difficulties.

Back in the Premier League, Manchester United have reportedly leapfronged Arsenal in the race to sign Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves. Not long ago, the Athletic suggested that Neves could be sold by Wolves this summer, with a £35million asking price on him. According to a new report by talkSPORT, the Red Devils could be making a swoop for the player with his international teammates Bruno Fernandes said to be backing the move.

At the moment, no official bid has been tabled for both Goretzka and Neves but some movement is expected in the coming days.
