After racking up rave reviews in the UEFA Nations League finals, Los Blancos are ready to make a move for this Ligue 1 talent.

With Kylian Mbappe's PSG contract expiring at the end of this season, the 2018 World Cup winner appears destined to join Real Madrid for free in a few months' time. However, he is not the only Frenchman who could make the move to Santiago Bernabeu next summer.

Despite signing Camavinga on the final day of August, Los Blancos are said to be keen on bolstering their midfield again in 2022. According to Marca, the Spanish giants have identified Aurelien Tchouameni as they key player and will target a move for the Monaco sensation in the upcoming summer.

Tchouameni, who is only 21 years old, has taken the world by storm with not only his club displays, but also his performances for his national team. Due to N'Golo Kante's recent coronavirus-related absence, the Monaco talent was handed his international debut, partnering World Cup winner Paul Pogba at the heart of France's midfield for the UEFA Nations League finals, an opportunity he grabbed with both hands.

The midfielder started in the final against Spain, impressing with his conservative role as Les Bleus fought back from 1-0 down to win 2-1 to clinch the title. His rave reviews have thus garnered the attention from Europe's biggest clubs, with Real Madrid being merely one of many top teams interested in the 21-year-old.

Chelsea are also in the race for the former Bordeaux starlet, and for obvious reasons, as the man he deputized for is none other than Stamford Bridge superstar Kante. Real Madrid will also have to fend off interest from Juventus who also look to bolster their midfield.

Monaco spent €18M to bring Tchouameni to the Stade Louis II and will likely demand double that figure, or even more, to sanction his sale. While Real Madrid have been one of the heaviest hit clubs by the COVID-19 pandemic, Los Merengues have weathered the storm for the most part and should be in a strong financial position to sign the Frenchman.
