The latest installment of the Derby d'Italia featuring Inter and Juventus will be the highlight of matchday nine.

Last round saw plenty of interesting results, including Juventus setting a new club record and two Atalanta players hitting personal milestones.

Next up is another batch of fixtures, with some big clashes taking place this weekend, including the latest iteration of the famous Derby d'Italia.

Here's all you need to know ahead of matchday nine.

Serie A standings heading into matchday nine

Serie A games you won't want to miss on matchday nine

Bologna vs Milan: Milan have been quite solid so far in Serie A, but have struggled horribly in the Champions League. Indeed, the Rossoneri, who are back in Europe's premier club competition for the first time in eight years, have lost their first three games for the first time in club history. With their European dreams in tatters following a midweek loss to Porto, all eyes will be on how Stefano Pioli's side reacts when they travel to face a Bologna side who have not really been that consistent so far this season.

Roma vs Napoli: It's been a really rough past week for Roma, to say the least. The Giallorossi, who came flying out of the gates at the start of the season, have hit a bad patch of form. Although they did beat Empoli 2-0 before the international break, since then, it's been all going downhill. Last weekend saw them lose to Juventus 1-0 in Turin, making them the first team to lose ten times at the Allianz Stadium, but that pales in comparison to the utter shocking result they ended up with during their Europa Conference League match against Scandinavian outfit Bodø / Glimt. Napoli, meanwhile, will arrive at the Stadio Olimpico having secured a resounding 3-0 win over Legia Warsaw to move into second spot in their group and notably have yet to drop any points in Serie A this season.

Inter vs Juventus: The latest installment of the world-famous Derby d'Italia gets underway this Sunday, with reigning champs Inter taking on Juventus, who had won the last nine Scudetto prior to Inter's triumph at the end of last season. The Nerazzurri come into this contest having earned a well-earned 3-1 win over Eastern European outfit Sheriff, thus ending their three game wait for a first victory in the Champions League. That result was exactly the tonic Simone Inzaghi's men needed after a 3-1 defeat to Inzaghi's former side Lazio the prior weekend. As for Juventus, they'll be looking to make it a fifth league win on the spin and sixth straight victory across all comps with a win on Sunday.
