And that's not all, as Red Devils boss Ralf Rangnick is said to have three other Bundesliga-linked players on his radar.

With the arrival of Ralf Rangnick, one of Germany's most revered tacticians in history, at Man United, many expected the Premier League giants to begin tapping into the Bundesliga market in the upcoming transfer windows. The Red Devils are now eager to show they mean business as they are being linked with a mega-money move for one of the most exciting German prospects.

That player is none other than Florian Wirtz, the sensational Bayer Leverkusen teenager who is getting himself on the radar of some of the continent's biggest clubs. Despite only being appointed as the Old Trafford boss on an interim basis, Rangnick has already drawn up a list of Bundesliga talents he wishes to bring to the Theatre of Dreams, with the 18-year-old Eternal Bridesmaids star being top of that list.

This is according to the Sun, with the British tabloid claiming that Rangnick will attempt to lure Wirtz to Manchester despite the player being keen on developing his football even further at Leverkusen. Unfortunately, the teenager won't come cheap as he is rated at approximately $80M.

The attacking midfielder is under contract until 2026, hence the hefty price tag. As a result, a bid from Man United is likelier to come next summer rather than in next month's January transfer window.

The Red Devils aren't the only club interested in the German ace, who has already made his international debut for die Mannschaft. However, the current Old Trafford boss will look to utilize his extensive connections in Germany to his advantage, with one Man United source saying: "The new manager knows practically everybody in German football."

Florian isn't the only Bundesliga-linked player said to be on Rangnick's radar as the iconic manager is also reportedly following Luca Netz, Eric Martel and Armel Bella-Kotchap – a left-back, a defensive midfielder, and a center-back respectively. Furthermore, the Premier League giants are also following RB Leipzig's Amadou Haidara and Marseille's Boubacar Kamara.

The club' immediate focus, however, will not be on the transfer window, rather their upcoming game. Man United have not been in action for over two weeks due to a COVID-19 outbreak in their camp. Cristiano and Co. will return to the pitch on Monday, taking on Newcastle as they aim to climb up the standings. The Red Devils currently sit in sixth, trailing fourth-placed Arsenal by five points, but have two games in hand over the Gunners.
