We reach the halfway point of the group stage in the continental tournament with a host of games that will keep fans watching wherever they are.

The opening weeks of the 2022 Copa Libertadores left some surprises for fans to discuss, but there are four teams still carrying an unbeaten run in the competition that can be pointed out as favorites to win the title in the second semester of the year.

One of those teams with a perfect record is Palmeiras. The defending champions started their run in the competition with two wins, including a massive 8-1 win over Independiente Petrolero last week, which has given them quite an edge when it comes to goal difference. Two more teams with a perfect record are River Plate and Colo-Colo, but one of them could lose that condition this week considering the calendar they will encounter.

Here is how the groups look like after the first games of the top club competition in South America.

Top Copa Libertadores games to watch this week

Estudiantes vs RB Bragantino - The Argentine side and the Brazilian club lead Group C with four points, and both teams will meet with the top of the group at stake. Both teams have scored four goals in the competition, but Estudiantes' defense has been more consistent after two games, which could mean a massive difference in this tie.

Corinthians vs Boca Juniors - The battle for the two tickets to the next round in Group E is intense, with all four teams with a win after two matches. Now, the most popular clubs in the bunch lock horns to see who could be the driving force in the group for the second half of the group stage. Both teams enter this match after a win in their last louting, which will make them even more keen on claiming three more points for their cause.

Colo-Colo vs River Plate - Both teams make it to this match with two wins in their two previous games, which means that an unbeaten run could come to an end this week. The home team make it to this clash after a 2-1 victory over Alianza Lima, while the Argentines will cement their chances of success on their defense, which has still not allowed any goals in the competition after two matches.

U. Católica vs Flamengo - The Brazilian side make it to this game as Group H leaders with two wins in a row, and the Chilean side seems to have all the tools to put up a good fight against the 2019 champions. "La U" will enter this clash on the back of a 2-1 win over Sporting Cristal, but this match will give them a good idea on their real chances of success against one of the heavyweights in South American football.
