The Frenchman is out of contract this summer and has thus been linked with a return to Turin on a free transfer.

With Paul Pogba's contract at Manchester United running out this summer, lots of speculation has surrounded the Frenchman's future and where he will end up playing next season.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner appears destined to leave Old Trafford for free for the second time in his career in pursuit of a new life, with the player stressing his desire to compete for silverware once more. However, which club will he represent in 2022/23?

Manchester City were linked not too long ago but the Etihad Stadium is no longer an option for Pogba. This leaves three clubs in the running – Real Madrid, PSG, and Juventus – with the latter two looking to be the favorites.

As a result, Bianconeri manager Massimiliano Allegri was asked about these rumors in the aftermath of the club's recent 2-2 draw with Lazio in Serie A. With the Old Lady waving goodbye to Paulo Dybala this season and having lost Rodrigo Bentancur to Tottenham, the Italian tactician was asked if he is keen on reuniting with his former French midfielder.

Allegri, probably irritated at seeing his side drop points in the league, refused to spill the beans on his team's transfer plans for the summer. The manager gave an extremely coy answer when talking to DAZN, stating that he does not remember much about Pogba in an attempt to dodge the question.

"I don't know him, who is he? Is that an English word?" he told DAZN

"I forgot, it's been too many years."

However, does this mean Juventus aren't pursuing Pogba? This does not appear to be the case. According to Goal, the Italian giants are preparing to hold talks with the Old Trafford ace this month but will require him to lower his wages should he return to the Allianz Stadium.
