The Senegalese superstar is entering the final 12 months of his contract and has reportedly decided to leave Merseyside this summer.

Sadio Mane's future at Liverpool has been one of the hottest topics, with fans and pundits alike wondering if the Senegalese superstar will truly bring his time at Anfield to an end this summer.

The former Southampton attacker is entering the final 12 months of his current contract and is yet to accept an extension from the Merseyside giants. As a result, the consensus is that the Africa Cup of Nations winner will leave the club in the upcoming transfer window.

In fact, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported that Mane has already decided to leave the club. The Italian journalist claimed that the player was initially focused on the UEFA Champions League final, but after losing that game 1-0 to Real Madrid, he made a decision regarding his future.

It should be noted that Sadio had remained silent on this topic for the most part, only giving a coy response when asked in the build-up to last weekend's clash with Los Blancos. However, Mane has finally broken his silence, dropping the biggest hint yet that he is on his way out.

The 30-year-old spoke at a press conference for the Lions of Teranga's upcoming AFCON qualifier against Benin and was told that the majority of Senegalese, somewhere between 60-70 percent, wish to see him leave Liverpool. This resulted in a shockingly candid response from the Anfield fan-favorite.

"Isn't it between 60 to 70 per cent of Senegalese that want me to leave Liverpool? I will do what they want. We will see soon!" Sadio said in response.

Is this confirmation of his departure? It's hard to interpret his words any other way amid links to Bayern Munich.

The African superstar is supposedly high up the Bavarians' wish list as they aim to recruit a wide attacker in preparation for the possible exit of Serge Gnabry. However, it remains unclear whether the Bundesliga champions are willing to meet Liverpool's asking price as Mane is still under contract until June 2023.
