The game between Iran and Uruguay had a curious but worrying incident for Los Culés, as one of their own came down with an injury moments after the game began.

One of the weirdest incidents of the International break took place in the game where Iran and Uruguay locked horns in preparation to play the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The game, which concluded with a one-nil win for Iran, was brought to a halt after just 20 seconds due to an injury suffered by one of Uruguay's players, as center-back Ronald Araujo asked to be subbed off due to a muscular problem.

The player was seen touching his right groin and with clear signs of discomfort before being taken off the pitch. Have a look at Araujo's unfortunate incident (Image might be geo-restricted).

This has not been an easy International break for Barcelona's players, as up tp five players will return to the Camp Nou with some sort of medical problem. The list as of now includes Frenkie de Jong, Jules Koundé, Memphis Depay, Ousmané Dembelé, and Araujo himself. The Uruguayan player has been key to Xavi's tactics, as he has played seven of the team's eight matches so far.

The footballer has been dismissed by Uruguay so he can recover from  this problem in Barcelona. Sources close to the footballer state that Araujo may escape a long-term injury, which could make him available to play El Clásico on October 16, but only time will tell if this medical problem does not represent a major setback for the footballer.
