Arturo Vidal's latest comments put Manchester United's hopes of the Chilean ace wearing a Red Devils jersey next season in doubt

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal appears to have put the Red Devils' hopes of signing the Chilean to an end after he came out and said he will not be moving to Manchester.

The 27-year-old ace has dazzled at the middle of the field for his team in Serie A ever since moving to Turin from Bayer Leverkusen back in 2011.

This has led to a host of clubs to chase after Vidal, with Louis van Gaal's side favored to land the Juventus player.

Although Vidal previously stated he was not done with "The Old Lady", the Italian club opened the door for his sale after saying a mega-money bid may tip their hands.

"Our strategy is clear; we want to keep all our best players, including Vidal and Pogba," said Pavel Nedved. "We don't want to sell anyone, especially Vidal.

"Certainly, if there were a high bid for them, we'd have to think about it but we don't want to sell our champions."

But now the player's latest comments seriously cast doubts over a Manchester United move, though he didn't rule out a Juventus exit.

"I don't know if I will stay at Juventus, I'm happy here in Turin," Vidal stated.

"I will talk with Allegri on Monday. I'm not going to Manchester."

This obviously comes as a blow to the 20-time English Premier League champions, however, new signing Ander Herrera, who was Man of the Match in Manchester United's match against LA Galaxy, can add the much-needed midfield quality that the Theatre of Dreams has been missing.
