Arsenal transfer target Alexandre Lacazette will join the gunners by the end of the week. This is according to football pundit Tony Cascarino. He told Sky Sports that the Lyon forward would make a sensational move to the Emirates Stadium before the beginning of the 2016/17 season.
Arsene Wenger’s £30m bid for the 25-year-old was turned down last week, but the Frenchman is said to be keen on signing the lethal forward. London rivals West Ham United had also tabled a £35m bid for the highly-rated striker but it was turned down one month prior to Wenger’s bid.

With the transfer deadline day fast approaching, Wenger is said to be racing against time to find a proven goal scorer to play alongside Olivier Giroud. The former Monaco boss has already signed Takuma Asano for the North London giants but a section of the club’s fans believe they need a world-class signing for more firepower up front.

With Gonzalo Higuain joining Juventus and Alvaro Morata sticking with Real Madrid, Wenger seems to be running out of options. The improved bid for the promising player, who scored 48 league goals over the last two seasons, which is equal to the number of goals scored by Giroud, Walcott and Welbeck combined within the same period, is said to be in the region of £40 million.
