The Colombian ace scored the opening goal for Los Cafeteros against La Vinotinto, finishing a quick attack by Pekerman's crew.

During the CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers, Rodriguez managed to score the game's first goal against Venezuela, giving Pekerman's men some room to breathe after a tough first half against La Vinotinto.
