Team news – Olympic Gold winner Neymar returns

One of football’s deadliest trios in recent history will be complete for the first time this season, as Neymar looks set to join Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi to rekindle their MSN attack.

The Brazilian ace has not featured for Luis Enrique’s side this season, missing their opening two games, the International Champions Cup and the Joan Gamper Trophy due to national duty.

The 24-year-old joined up with his national side at the Rio Olympics, guiding his nation to a gold medal after appearing to be headed for a group stage exit. It remains unclear whether Enrique will start Neymar or ease him back by bringing him off the bench.

There are question marks over Lionel Messi as well, as the Argentine appears to have recovered from his hamstring injury. Luis Enrique declared that their star attacker is in contention to play.

However, the Asturian boss is likely to rest the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in order to have him at 100 percent for their Champions League opener versus Celtic.

Andres Iniesta and Jeremy Mathieu both trained with Barcelona this week and could feature on Saturday, whilst summer signing Paco Alcacer is in line to make his debut.
