The Red Devils interim manager has lift the lid on what his former employers told him.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed what his former employers at Molde told him before taking over as Manchester United's interim manager. Life under the Norwegian coach has been fascinating for the Red Devils who experienced a tough start in the ongoing campaign under the departed Jose Mourinho.

Under the supervision of Solskjaer, the Old Trafford outfit is on a nine game unbeaten run, winning eight and drawing once. Momentarily, the club is challenging for a spot in the top-four and qualification to next season's Champions League looks very much on the cards.

Ahead of Manchester United's Sunday trip to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City, Solskjaer revealed that he has the blessings of Molde's owners Kjell Inge Rokke and Bjorn Rune Gjelsten who told him to "enjoy" himself and preferably never "come back".

"When I rang the owner and said that United had called and that he always knew that this had been my dream, he said: 'Go over, enjoy yourself - and please don't come back'.

"Both owners wished me all the best because they knew this is something I dreamed about.

"To get the backing from them was fantastic. If I go back to Molde, I will do my best for them - but it depends when I go back.

"It's been fantastic so far. Hopefully I will get to see my family soon, because that has been the only downside to the job."

Manchester United - currently on 44 points after 24 matches - could go level with Arsenal once more should it win against Leicester on Sunday and the Gunners fall to Manchester City later in the day.
