The Norwegian boss could lose up to five players during the transfer window, which will force him to make some fresh additions to his roster.

With up to eight players allegedly on the exit door at Manchester United, coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has handed in a list of requests to fill in those voids.

The Norwegian coach seems inclined to add young talent to the mix, mainly because some of those leaving the club are past the 30-year-mark. Players like Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young have been included in that list, and the former Molde boss is seemingly eager to splash cash in order to rejuvenate the squad.

With that in mind, the forrmer striker has reportedly handed in a four-name shortlist. The first name on it is none other than former Manchester City footballer Jadon Sancho, who's had a major impact at Borussia Dortmund this season. Sancho seems keen on returning to the Premier League, especially after "liking" a tweet from Rio Ferdinand where he urged the Red Devils to sign him.

Manchester United's next target will be Callum Hudson-Odoi. The highly-rated youngster has been named as a top priority for Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund, but the real problem besides fending off interest from their German counterparts would be to twist Chelsea's arm into selling him. The Blues are still fighting to have their transfer ban overturned, and selling one of their best assets may not be the way to go.

Next on the list is Aaaron Wan-Bissaka. Crystal Palace's right back is seen as a long-term replacement for Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young, two players that have been linked with moves away from Old Trafford. At 21 years of age, Wan-Bissaka would own the right back spot for a long time if he can show his skills as he has done with The Eagles since he made his debut in 2017.

The last man in Solskjaer's shortlist is none other than Kalidou Koulibaly. The 27-year-old is seemingly looking for a way out of Napoli and was linked with a move in the winter transfer window, but negotiations with a number of teams stalled. Manchester United will need to break the bank if they want to land the signing of this top-caliber defender.
