The head-to-head records

Ajax vs APOEL

This will be the fourth encounter between these two sides. In their three previous encounters, only once was there a winner and that Ajax back in 2014/15, beating APOEL 4-0 in the Champions League. Their other two match-ups ended in draws.

Krasnodar v Olympiacos

Their first-leg showdown was the first-ever encounter between these two sides, with Olympiacos winning 4-0. They are now in the driving seat to make the Champions League group stage.

Crvena zvezda v Young Boys

This will be their fourth encounter. Aside from the 2-2 draw in the first leg, these two clubs were paired against each other in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round in 2004/05. Crvena Zvezda drew 2-2 in Switzerland before beating Young Boys 3-0 at home, leaving them with an unbeaten record against their opponent (P3, W1, D2).

Rosenborg v Dinamo Zagreb

This is Rosenborg's first-ever match-up against a Croatian club. This means their only other encounter with Dinamo Zagreb was in the first leg, which they lost 2-0.

Club Brugge v LASK

This is LASK's first tie against a Belgium outfit, meaning their only other encounter with Club Brugge was the 1-0 first-leg defeat.

Slavia Praha v CFR Cluj

While Slavia Praha's 1-0 win over CFR Cluj was their first official competitive meeting, they also beat them 4-2 in a friendly back in July 2010

Interesting stats

Ajax lost only two of their 18 European matches in 2018/19 (W10 D6).
The Dutch champions were also the first side in history to reach the Champions League semi-finals after going through three qualifying rounds. They would eventually lose in the last-four to Tottenham
Olympiacos are on a run of seven away matches undefeated in the qualifying phase of UEFA competition (W5 D2).
Crvena zvezda have lost only two of their last 19 European home matches (W10 D7).
Rosenborg have not featured in the Champions League since 2007/08, going out in the qualifying round five times since then.
