The Reds will enter the competition as defending champions for the first time since 2005, but thing may not be as easy as they look for Klopp's men.

Liverpool was not handed an easy draw in their quest to defend their UEFA Champions League, as the Reds were drawn against Napoli, RB Salzburg and Belgian side Genk.

This will not be the first time in which Napoli and Liverpool lock horns in a Group Stage, following their meetings in Group C last season. Both of their meetings concluded with a 1-0 score, but each team won on their respective stadiums. Liverpool's win was key to help them through to the Round of 16, while also sending Napoli to the UEFA Europa League.

The other two teams will surely give Klopp's men a bit of a headache, as RB Salzburg will be making their debut in the Group Stage of the competition. Genk will return to the UEFA Champions League group stage after a 7-year hiatus, following their winless performance in that stage of the 2011-12 season. Neither RB Salzburg nor Genk have ever played a UEFA-sanctioned match against Liverpool in history.

Fixtures will be announced by UEFA in the next few hours.
