Les Parisiens managed to eliminate Borussia Dortmund despite losing the first leg of that tie at Signal Iduna Park.

Fans around the world were outraged when PSG's players mocked Erling Haaland's celebration right after knocking Borussia Dortmund out of the UEFA Champions League. Today, in an interview with TV channel Desimpedidos, PSG center back Marquinhos revealed the name of the team-mate who came up with the idea to mock the Norwegian ace.

According to Marquinhos, the idea came up right after the first leg, when Borussia Dortmund allegedly made fun of PSG in the tunnels leading to the dressing rooms. That, to Neymar, was unacceptable, and it led the most expensive player in the world to come up with the plan to hit back at the black and yellow side.

"Neymar likes that sort of thing. He's not your average football player. He is not afraid and he always hits back at those who provoke him. After his goal, I asked him if he had let it all out, but he told me I should wait until the end of the game. He urged me not to hold him back and let him enjoy his plan," Marquinhos said.

Marquinhos then went on to reveal what fueled Neymar's anger against Borussia Dortmund, and how he had other team-mates joining him in what now seems as a justified gesture.

"It wasn't just one thing. There were many statements from their players after the game in Germany. They had won the first game and they were yelling in the tunnel leading to the dressing room. They also made fun of us in their locker room, we could hear them because we were right next door," Marquinhos added.

PSG is one of the teams that was able to play their full Round of 16 tie in the UEFA Champions League, but now Les Parisiens have to wait until further notice to know what team they will face in the next round.
