The former Barcelona player will leave Bayern München after winning the treble in the 2019-20 season.

Liverpool's transfer activity this summer had been rather coy, but they surely kneww how to make an impact with their second move.

Reports coming in from England and Germany suggest that both teams have agreed on the player's transfer to Anfield once Liverpool pays Bayern a bit over $23M. If Liverpool and Thiago reach certain objectives throughout the season, the Reds will have to pay an extra $7M in add-ons.

Curiously, the deal between the German club and the Premier League champions was revealed by two members of Bayern's staff: coach Hansi Flick and president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. The team's CEO confirmed the move in an interview with Bild Live.

"I can confirm that we have finally reached an agreement with Liverpool. It was one of Thiago's biggest dreams to be part of something new before the end of his career," Rummenigge said.

Elsewhere, coach Hansi Flick confirmed that the player will not be included in the team's squad for tomorrow's debut in the 2020-21 season, going on to confirm that the footballer has already told his teammates his time at Bayern is over.

The player will join the current Premier League champions after winning seven Bundesliga trophies with Die Roten. Moreover, Thiago won four DFB Pokal titles, three German Super Cup trophies, and he said goodbye to the club by helping them win one more UEFA Champions League crown last month.
