The Yellow Submarine managed one of the results of the season in a brilliant fashion on Saturday night.

Barcelona were dealt one of the biggest upsets of this La Liga season in Saturday's trip to Cadiz. Los Blaugrana's, seeking a fourth successive win in all competitions, were subjected to a 2-1 defeat as the Yellow Submarines ended their winless run against them for the first time since 1991.

It was almost certain that Roland Koeman's men were set for a arduous night after the host opened the scoring inside the first eight minutes through Alvaro Gimenez. The visitors persisted from that point onwards although they could not conjure any tangible result in their quest to restore parity. However, a glimmer of hope emerged in a bizarre manner with Pedro Alcala scoring an own-goal to cancel out his Cadiz's opener in the 57th minute.

Six minutes later, the situation was complicated further for Barcelona with Alvaro Negredo scoring what will become the eventual winner for the Yellow Submarine. The night's result meant that they have beaten the two most recent winners of La Liga, with Real Madrid also falling to a 1-0 defeat at their hands earlier this season.

Meanwhile, with the game's outcome, Alvaro Cervera's side moved to the fifth position on 18 points. On the contrary, Barcelona now sit in seventh place with 14 points, having lost four of the 10 matches they have played so far.

Below is how Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman reacted to the defeat:
