The Egyptian forwarded attained a personal feat with his contributions in Monday night's crucial win over Leicester.

Mohamed Salah landed a personal milestone in the Premier League after helping Liverpool to a vital win against Leicester City on Monday night. For the first time in his career, the 30-year-old Egyptian forward registered a hat-trick of assists as the Reds cruised to a 3-0 win over the relegation-battling Foxes.

After a rather slow start where Liverpool spurned a handful of goalscoring opportunities from promising positions, they settled into gear and hit Leicester with two quick-fire goals. Both the first and second goals came through Curtis Jones, with Mohamed Salah duly getting the credit for assisting the Welshman's first-ever Premier League brace in a space of two minutes.

Liverpool's third goal was a thing of beauty, with Salah securing his hat-trick of assists by rolling the ball off from a free-kick for Alexander-Arnold to smash home in the second-half. It was almost a perfect night for the Egyptian but he squandered the opportunity to get his 20th goal of the campaign through a remarkable miss late on, putting wide an attempt after going 1-v-1 vs the Leicester goalie.

The win - which extended Liverpool's winning run to seven - boosted their top-four hopes, with the club now a point behind third and fourth-placed Newcastle United and Manchester United. Nevertheless, both clubs will be hoping to pull way a little bit by winning their respective game in-hand. On the contrary, Leicester City's defeat has dented their survival hopes as they are currently in the relegation zone and are a point away from safety. 

For Mohamed Salah, his contribution in the night's win for Liverpool placed him on course for another extraordinary record. The Reds' talisman is just a goal and an assist away from becoming the first-ever player in the history of the Premier League to have 20+ goals and 10+ assists in three seasons. At the moment, he is par with Arsenal legend Thierry Henry as the two players to ever achieve this feat in the competition.
